I undertook this challenge for several reasons but at the heart of it all was a personal one. I wanted to know what it takes for an ordinary boomer like me to excel at business ownership.

It took hundreds of hours of research, more than 40 interviews and at least six or seven manuscript rewrites (I lost count after the fifth round) but I finally finished. This month, I self-published Late-Blooming Entrepreneurs: Eight Principles for Starting a Business After Age 40.

The journey renewed my admiration for authors of all stripes, including the ones mentioned in this post by Debra Eve of Later Bloomer. It also taught me that self-publishing is very much an entrepreneurial endeavor.

Need Help With Pricing?

We all do. I was discussing this with a colleague of mine a few days ago. I basically stated that we are all probably severely underpricing ourselves. While I do extensive research in order to keep my pricing competitive, there may be others who have trouble in this area.

Definitely Saw this Coming

Adobe has announced that there is now a mobile version of PhotoShop available for mobile devices at just $4.99. Not sure how I feel about this yet. Call me old fashioned but I’d much rather reduce my risk of arthritis in my thumbs and straining my eyes worse then I already am by using my trusty full-sized laptop. What do you guys think?

Interesting Article Regarding Customer Quantity
